Designers from Denmark, Kosovo and France won the top three prizes in the UN European Ad Competition, No to Violence Against Women, UNRIC, the organizers, announced in Brussels 19 October.
Our competition has come to an end and we are pleased to announce that we have received 2700 Ads from over 40 European countries.
We would like to thank all of you who participated and are now looking forward to the second phase of our competition where we would like to invite you to vote for your favourite Ads.
Voting is open to everyone. You can vote for as many Ads as you like, once a day, so make sure you spread the word among your friends and get them to vote for you and their other favourite Ads.
Every vote will be counted as an Action on the Say NO – UniTE website, adding your name to the global call to make ending violence against women a top priority worldwide.
Say NO aims to trigger and highlight actions by individuals, governments and civil society partners. Your vote is your voice in saying NO to Violence Against Women.
http://competition.create4theun.euWe launched our blog two weeks ago and have been updating it regularly with campaign materials, news, film and book reviews, and some great guest contributions. We are delighted with the numbers of readers we have had, comments and emails we have received.
It is probably an understatement to say that organizing a truly Europe wide competition is not the easiest thing anyone of us at UNRIC has been involved in.
